After you have been certified and licensed by the state, you will need to find a job in the field. You will most likely end up in a hospital or rehabilitation center. In either case you will be expected to have good interpersonal skills and be able to deal with not only staff but the patients as well.
It is important to develop your interpersonal skills as you will be working with coworkers and patients. Patients and staff alike are prone to stress either by their condition or being over-worked. It can be very hard to keep a cool head under these conditions. If you feel that you need work in this area, take some team building or interpersonal training courses. It will go along way to helping you cope when in pressure situations.
